How to pause a download process and resume it on another computer.

This situation happens all the time.Just imagine you are downloading a big file and you really must go to somewhere. At that place (maybe your friend’s house),you may want to countinue the download process. But how can you do that without re-downloading the whole file? I will show you.
But first, make sure you are downloading that file with a download manager.
In this post,I will show you how to do it with 3 most popular download manager: IDM,Flash get and Gigaget

1,IDM:

In fact,IDM creat a profile for each file that you download. So the solution is very simple: you copy that profile (which was created for your incomplete file) and all datas that are downloaded to your computer and import that profile to IDM in another computer, paste the downloaded datas to its temp folder and resume the download process. That’s it!

To do it,first up ,go to Taks-Export-To IDM export file-Export download queue. You can save that file to your USB with any name you want.
Ok,now you have the profile.Let’s copy all the downloaded datas to the USB.First, make sure you have already enabled “Show hidden files and folder” in the folder option.
Go to C:\Documents and settings\Username\Application data\IDM\Dwnldata (replace username with your username). In there, look for a folder which has the same name with the file and copy all datas inside it to your USB.
Import it to another computer and continue the download process:
To do it on another computer, open IDM,go to Tasks again then choose Import-From IDM export file and choose the file which was exported to your USB.
Now you can resume the download process but WAIT! That’s not all. When the download bar is filling up,pause that process and go to C:\Documents and settings\Username\Application data\IDM\Dwnldata again.Find the same folder, delete all the files inside and paste all the datas which you have copied on your computer to that folder.
Now,you can resume the download process to download that file without any trouble.

2,Flashget:

Just like IDM.If you are understand the process above, you will find it easy to do the same thing with Flashget.
First File-Export file list.

Again, save the exported list to your USB.
After that,go to its default download folder ( default: C:\download ) and copy all the files have jc! Extension which have the same name with your download file to the USB. ( Example:Your download file is xyz, just copy xyz.jc! file!! )
How to resume?
Go to another computer, open Flashget,go to File-Import and choose your exported list. Now,resume the download process.
WAIT FOR THE RESUME PROCESS IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND THEN PAUSE IT.
Now,go to its default download folder, paste all the jc! Files you have in the USB there (windows may ask you rewrite the file, choose yes)
Now,resume the download process again. It will work!

3,Gigaget:
What about Gigaget? Just do the same thing! It seems like all download manager work the same way. So,if you can’t find how to do with your favourite download manager in this post, you can still try to do it your self with the same trick I mentioned here.
Now,let’s get to work!
Lauch Gigaget,go to file-Export list of selected downloads and then save that file to your USB.

Go to C:\TDdownload (its default folder),copy 2 files which have the same name with your download file ( but one has .td extension, another has .td.cfg extension) to your USB.
So how to resume the download process on another computer with Gigaget??
Open Gigaget,go to File-Import Download list and choose your exported list.
Resume the download process, wait for some seconds and then pause the process.
Go to C:\TDdownload,paste 2 files I mentioned above there and then you can easily resume the download process without re-downloading the whole big file.
You are using another download manager and you have found a way to do the same thing
